Where do I begin? Valerie, her Mom Joan, her Event Planner Kathy Byrum of Dream Wedding and Event Planners and I all worked together for about 18 months. She by far is one of the sweetest and classiest bride's I have ever worked with.
Valerie & Brian's New Year’s Eve wedding at The Colony Club in Detroit was definitely a great way for us to take our 2013 season out with a BANG!
The ceremony took place in the 3rd Floor ballroom at The Colony Club and was a traditional Jewish Ceremony. For the bridal flowers, Valerie and I designed posy style bouquets for the bridesmaids with white ranunculus, lace edge dusty miller, white anemones and roses in shades of champagne, white, ivory & blush. For the ceremony, we provided the ivory chiffon Chuppah and lined the aisle with multiple cylinder vases filled with water & floating candles in varying heights. We then traced the chairs with a beautiful ivory & champagne rose petal border. Our reception centerpieces made up of classic and clean flowers in shades of ivory, white, champagne & blush with accents of sage green, grey and pops of gold branches worked well with the blush matte sequin floor-length table cloths and ivory chiffon chair wraps finished with a beautiful rhinestone broach. Details such as Valerie's "Bedazzled Bon Bons" and Masquerade Masks for the guests to wear while bringing in the New Year added dimension and a warm contrast to the gorgeous historical ballroom of the Colony Club. I was lucky enough to have been there when Valerie & Brian were brought into their room to get a "First Look". Valerie was so overcome with emotion and excitement she was moved to tears and was embraced by her husband. It truly was magical to see her so happy and to know we had a part in making their wedding dreams come true.
