Who we are!

Petit Fleur Events was founded by Corrina Kulhanek - Lead Designer + Owner in 2003.  Petit Fleur Events is a little miracle that has grown into a successful floral and event design Studio working with clientele all over the country.

Their story begins over twelve years ago, when Corrina began designing wedding flowers in her kitchen sink as a means to stay at home with her three young children after wanting to leave her career in the Dental Industry. Even in her wildest dreams, Corrina did not imagine that her tiny kitchen business would grow into an internationally recognized floral and event design studio.  Petit Fleur Events is widely recognized in leading publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, Town & Country as well as on Style Me Pretty, the tiny seeds of Corrina’s beginnings have blossomed into homegrown success.  Since then they have designed and executed literally hundreds of events in the Metro Detroit Area, Northern Michigan and literally across the country. Petit Fleur Events has grown and matured over the years and their story continues to blossom into a delightful tale of success.

After more than a decade of running the business on her own, Corrina’s husband Matt joined the company in 2011 to manage daily operations. In addition to the expertise that Matt brings to the table in the realm of production, custom staging & props, lighting and drape, as well as marketing and business sense, this maneuver has allowed Corrina to dedicate more time to her passion- hands-on design. In addition, Corrina is now able to train and work side by side with her staff and spend valuable time meeting with her clients. 

The Studio has chosen to remain a small family-owned and staffed event design and event production studio as Corrina and Matt are dedicated to making each and every client feel like they're the only client. Corrina is committed to thinking outside the box and producing exceptional events specializing in high-end event production with her unique floral designs and décor rentals.  Although they specialize in weddings, they do dozens of other special events every year too: Corporate Events, Birthdays, Charity Events, Bar/Bat Mitzvah's, Retirement Parties + Showers!  We offer chiavari chairs + chair covers, table linens, well-appointed place settings, lounge furniture, lighting options, draping and other specialty items.  If they don’t carry it, Matt, their in-house carpenter can make it or they can get what you are looking for through their vendor partners.  For the client looking for a professionally-styled event with a cohesive vision, Corrina brings all the various elements of an event together—color selection, layout planning, details development, lighting coordination, theme development, rentals coordination, etc.
